Group Of Military Moms Treated To Special Baby Shower In Pacific Palisades

PACIFIC PALISADES (CBSLA.com) — A group of military moms and mothers-to-be were treated to a special baby shower at a country club in the Pacific Palisades.

Nearly fifty expectant mothers, some of whom are on active duty, others who are married to service members, were showered with appreciation and free items at the Riviera Country Club on Tuesday.

“I just want him to see him taking his first bath. I want him to be able to see him talking to me and videos can only do so much justice,” said Nicole Curtis whose husband was serving his sixth deployment with the Navy when she gave birth to their son. “It’s nice that people appreciate what we go through.”

The gifts provided during the event, dubbed Operation Shower, included baby bedding, jewelry, car seats, clothing, and diaper bags.  continue reading...
